Deirdre Ní Chinnéide  

   

Siochain - Celtic Passage.




Trained as a psychotherapist/ spiritual director and workshop facilitator, she has worked all over Ireland, the U.S.A and Europe including Bosnia and Kosovo. The Aran islands with its unique history, culture and natural beauty provides a special setting for her retreat work, and was the place of inspiration for her CD Celtic Passage a journey of the heart which Deirdre composed, performed and released with Sounds True USA and which won Celtic album of the year on its release in 2007 . She has performed her music in Ireland and at Celtic festivals in Brittany and the USA and has regularly appeared on National Radio and Television.


Acting on Stage and Television
Deirdre has recently taken to the stage and screen, having performed in the Abbey production of The House of Bernarda Alba as lead singer. She has also been cast as the Doctor in the popular television series Ros na Run on TG 4 television station in Ireland.

National concert Hall
Deirdre is sister of well known TV celebrity Mary Kennedy and is seen here when both of them appeared in a concert at the National Concert Hall for the celebration of 250 years of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.

Celtic Passage Returns to America
Deirdre is delighted to be attending the World RE Congress in Los Angeles this March where she will facilitate a Celtic Evening of Prayer and a workshop titled Journey to the heart, linking to the depth and beauty of the Celtic Christian tradition through the music, image and poetry of Celtic Passage.
